Hampton Half Zip Crop Sweater

I priced stalked this sweater for so long! It finally went on sale so I purchased it. I would agree with other reviewers that the fabric is not necessarily soft or luxurious. So definitely not worth the full $300. But I think that could be true for all Staud products. Their fabrics and their fit are not great, but their designs are really cute so they somehow demand a high price. For me, the most disappointing part of this sweater is that it is extremely cropped. I expected it to be a little on the shorter side based on how it fits the model, but on me (I’m 5’11”), it came several inches above my navel in the front. Everything else fit as expected. Sleeves are extra long. The sweater overall is really loose and baggy. I am usually an XXL but I purchased an XL because I know that Staud runs pretty large. Even still, I probably could’ve gone down to a L if I wanted a snugger fit. I love the color combination. But even for the sale price of $200, I don’t think I can justify keeping it because it’s so short on me and it’s not at all soft.

I was so excited to get this sweater in the mail, but am Feeling a little disappointed in the quality for the price it was. It feels a little bit thin and cheap for the $200+ price point. The sleeves are also extremely long. I will probably still keep this but would wait for a sale to purchase in the future.

I bought the navy blue in-person at the store, and the first-time wear was awesome. I wanted a bit of color pop which this did. But it started piling quite a bit, and already doesn't look the price point at all. The collar also sits kind of weird, so I did have to pull it back down a bit because it tends to try to fall back (idk if it's the weight). and adjust the form/silhouette on me. I'm keeping it since I already wore it, but definitely not the $200+ quality you'd expect.
