This cocotte is crafted in France from premium cast iron for exceptional heat retention and distribution, with a smooth enameled interior for perfect browning.

What it does: The heavyweight, tight-fitting lid retains moisture, while spikes on the lid create a rain-forest effect that evenly returns juices back onto food. Its extra height also makes it the perfect pot for dishes that rise (think soufflé!) and bone-in or bulky foods that need more vertical space, like mussels.
