This beginner-friendly 3D printing pen for kids ages six and up is designed for safe, screen-free creative play. The 3Doodler Start+ Essentials Set gives children a hands-on way to explore creativity, spatial thinking and STEM concepts at home.

Designed with no external hot parts, the pen allows kids to safely hold and use it while creating. Eco-filament extrudes and hardens quickly so designs take shape almost instantly.

The updated design features a more comfortable grip, quicker start time, longer battery life, a dedicated reverse button and a removable hatch for easier filament changes.

This complete set includes the 3Doodler Start+, mixed-color Start+ filaments, USB-C cable and activity guide.

What it does: 3Doodler's easy-to-use design combines creativity with technology to drive engagement and comprehension of critical STEM subjects. With the press of a button, plastic extrudes and hardens rapidly, allowing kids to create practically anything in 3D. Designed with no hot parts and completely safe for kids, the 3D pen is easy to use. Simply turn the pen on, wait a few seconds for the green light, insert a strand of filament, press the orange button and watch it work.

Additional features: The pen is completely wireless and designed with no external hot parts for safe use. It uses Eco-Plastic filament that is non-toxic and BPA-free, making it safe for kids. This set includes everything needed to get started.

So fun

Broke almost immediately

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love this set. Unfortunately, it broke the first time. My child tried to use it. I do think that it is a great idea/concept, however needs a little more work. Definitely not worth the price, at the moment.

Learning curve

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we first got this adorable product, my girls weren’t sure what to do. Now a-days there’s tablets and telephones. It took them a little bit to create something that they liked. There’s definitely a learning curve with young ones, but once they got going, I joined in as well. They created a cute owl and my other daughter created a rainbow. She didn’t want me to take a picture of that, but I thought it was adorable. It comes with a lot of colors and if you run out of ideas, we went to one of our online go to for ideas. The only thing that was frustrating for them was when it dried or when it ran out. The machine has to heat up almost like a regular hot glue gun. Otherwise, they loved it! Definitely will be using this to create on a regular.

New art experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The limitations on this are a negative and a plus. A negative because the filament goes quickly and can affect how you are doing anpiece, but good because kids are limited to how much they go through. My 2 kids were super excited to use this

Fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a fun 3D pen set! Super easy to use too. Comes apart easily, so cleaning it out between colors or for a jam is a quick and easy process. Love that this kit comes with everything you need and that the instruction manual also has templates for cute ideas and projects to make. Keeps both the older and younger kids occupied for a while, which is a win itself!

Creative and Fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a parent that likes to find creative things for my children to do,this 3D pen set is the perfect choice.This set comes with everything that is needed to create several 3D objects including the pen,colored filament,a charging cable and a activity book with patterns.My kids have spent hours creating shapes and 3D statues with this kit using the patterns in the activity book,as well as using their own imagination to make different things like farm animals,cartoon characters and more.The 3D pen is very easy and safe for my children to use,as it fits perfectly in their hands,is simple to load with filament and only gets hot at the tip so I don't have to worry about them getting burned.I love that this set comes with several colors of filament for my children to use and that we can purchase extra when we need to without having to purchase another starter set.Overall,this is a great activity set that allows my children to be creative and use their imaginations,while having fun.

Fun little tool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a great little tool & actually pretty fun! My daughter was super excited to try it and has now really enjoyed playing with it! It has kept her entertained for hours several times since we’ve gotten it. I feel like it’s pretty easy to use. No assembly required. It comes with a little bit of a charge already so it can be used straight out of the box, but when it does need charging, it charges fairly quickly. It’s very quiet, so doesn’t make much noise, but it does get louder when it needs more filament. The start+ package we got came with everything you need to get started including a small pack of filament in a variety of colors.
