What it does: Designed to fade evenly, this lightweight and translucent gel glides on with an applicator mitt (sold separately), instantly lifting skin while delivering a wearable hint of tint to guide your application to ensure you won't miss any patches. The transfer-resistant formula is infused with hyaluronic acid and intelligent shade technology, which offers three shades in one depending on when you rinse off the formula.
How to use: Begin by exfoliating and moisturizing dry areas of your skin, such as your hands, feet, ankles and wrists. Apply to skin using an applicator mitt to ensure you don't miss any patches. Shower off at one or two hours depending on your desired shade. One hour delivers a light tan; two hours delivers a medium golden bronze; and three hours delivers a deep, dark tan. Your tan will continue to develop over eight hours into your chosen shade.

Best self tanner!
This stuff is amazing! I have tried many self tanner mousses and creams. It goes on almost like a serum with the mitt and has a slight guide color so you can see where you are putting it. I am very pale and left it on for 1.5 hours before showering it off. It continues to develop for up to 8 hours and gives a beautiful color, no streaks or patchiness. It fades evenly and doesn’t rub off on clothing and doesn’t smell. New favorite tanner!

Waste of time and money
Not only that it’s hard to apply, but this thing doesn’t add any color. Don’t waste your time buying this. Get the mousse instead.

nice tan shade for light skinned person.
got two bottles right away. its so good!! easy to apply. i leave it overnight because I’m pretty light skinned, and in the morning take a shower and viola!! the skin turns out perfect tan shade!

I am so disappointed with the “results”. This is my second attempt at getting any sort of tan from this tanning gel. The first time, I applied overnight and had no results after showering it off. Today I left it on for 3 hours which is supposed to be dark, only to be left frustrated and disappointed yet again, as there isn’t even a slight difference in my skin colour. The rest of the bottle is going in the trash. What a shame. Such a waste of time and money.

All rinsed off
I bought the St. Tropez Bronzing Gel.
As suggested, I tried a test patch and rinsed off after 1.5 hours. I could not tell there was any difference. I waited overnight to see if there was a change but still could not notice. This was surprising because I am fair skinned.
I tried a larger area the second time and left on 4 hours. Again, after I rinsed, it all came off and I could not tell any difference than my original skin colour. Very disappointed. It was quite expensive and such a waste of money.

Doesn’t work-
I normally use the St Tropez mousse (non fast action) and it works great. Decided to try the fast acting gel. It’s a liquid and doesn’t apply as well as the mousse. First time using I left on for an hour to test it and no difference when I rinsed off. Then I left it on for 3 hours and after rinsing I was barely left with a tan. This formulation leaves a ton of brown water when you rinse off. Bottom line, the fast acting gel didn’t work for me at all. Stick to the regular mouse version (non quick version). This gel also feels tacky compared to the moouse.
