Overpriced
Not great quality for the price of this dress. However, the neckline is very nice underneath a jacket. Just really wish this was made in a different, more luxurious material that fits the brand.

Cheap, linty fabric
Dress came out of the box with lint on it. Fabric does not look or feel expensive. A miss from a brand that usually does better

perfect fit for a not perfect figure
Since my 20’s(I’m now 50), I have never been able to wear dresses like this because I’m busty and have smaller hips, so I would have to get a size 12/14 to fit my bust, but it would be huge in the torso and waist. This dress, however, fits me perfectly. It is a bit looser in the hips, but I can wear it to church and other events that I wouldn’t want a tight fit anyway.
It’s absolutely perfect for me. I’m a size 4/6 and I purchased a 6.

Large and In Charge
This dress runs large, especially in the hips. The size 12 was good on top and then huge on the bottom. There is no question this is a serious black dress of superior quality knit material but the cut is not for my figure.

Not the Best St. John
The dress arrived covered in lint (what's up with that). The material is light for St. John, but that's okay with me because I live in Phoenix. The fit works for me, and I like the length. While not St. John's best effort, the dress is a keeper for me because it's classic and I got it on sale.

Perfect dress
I have this dress in black and in navy and have worn them both so many times. The neckline is perfect for wearing under a jacket or can be worn alone as an evening dress. It is a very versatile dress for travel.
