Squalane + Amino Acids Hydrating Lip Balm, for Lips, Elbows & Cuticles

Great, simple, 'does it's job' lip balm. I did not notice any amazing or significant improvement to my lips, however it nourishes and is very small and convenient to carry in the bag. I also bought it for my sister as a gift and she seemed to have enjoyed it, but does not want to repurchase. Solid choice of a lip balm, but in my opinion, there are better options out there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been gifted by theordinary The Ordinary Amino Acids Lip Balm and I’m honestly really impressed. It feels super lightweight but still really hydrating, and it leaves my lips feeling soft without being sticky or greasy. I also love that it’s fragrance-free and simple. It’s been great for everyday use, especially when my lips feel dry. Definitely a new staple in my routine.

Normally I love The Ordinary products but some are bound to be misses. I loved the form factor of this product even though it feels like it would be very difficult to get the last little bits out. It feels as if it will be very moisturizing and nice on the lips, but after I put it on I can barely feel it. Ends up feeling mostly like silicon; stays on top of my lips and does not sink in or offer any real protection. Then it just disappears and lasts no time at all. Disappointing!

I bought this about 6 months ago. I'm a lip balm person, always have and airways will be so i was excited to try this product after reading the reviews. Sadly though I'm going to be the black sheep here as I find it makes my lips really dry when it's on and they feel crinkly and not plump. The product doesn't stay on for long either. As a design it looks ok but the error in my eyes is it's like a stone and you can't stand it up with the rest of your make up and it has to lie flat. I wouldn't buy again I'm afraid but still love the other products I get regularly.
