Smolqua Loafer (Women)

These shoes are so comfy. I found them true to size, I do wear them with a very thin sock. If you want to use your own insoles or thicker sock, you might want to go up a size. I wore these right out of the box, to the park all day. With zero issues. The heel doesn’t slip, there’s plenty of room in the toe box, and the sides did not rub against my ankle. I am used to wearing Merrell slip-ons all day, so this sole feels thinner and more slick in comparison. There’s something about these shoes that have just the slightest bowling shoe vibe - but I love it. Very 90s. The shape of the toe and the stitch detailing are really fun.

This brand is one I haven't worn before and wanted to try since they came in European sizing (38/39/40). I bought my regular 39 size and they fit fine. They are light and a bit stiff - the leather and the footbed both - a bit more cushion in the footbed would be ideal for me. The detailing on the upper is a nice touch, making them dressy if I want. They slip on and off just fine. The tread or sole seems to grip on rainy sidewalks okay, but I haven't walked on snow or ice yet. These are very light-weight feeling - decent stitching quality and leather.
