SPANXshape^™ Invisible High Waist Mid Thigh Shorts

I usually don't wear any type of shaper because I just don't like that smashed/uncomfortable/hard to take a breath feeling but I recently bought a jumpsuit to wear to a wedding and I noticed my panty lines were showing on my hips while I was getting it hemmed which I didn't like. My salesperson recommended a shaper but I immediately dismissed the idea because I bought one maybe 20 years ago and wasn't a big fan. I can honestly say they've changed a lot in that time! I'm so glad I bought this in the store because I likely would never had selected this one online and also I'm confident I would have bought too small of a size. First, this comes up really high (just under the bra) as shown on the model. I thought I would never want that much coverage and that's way too high but she said it avoids having it show at the waistline. Makes sense! Second, it's all about the correct size!! This runs small, and I mean really small. I'm usually a size 4-6 in pants and a 27-28 in jeans and I took a size large. I was a little offended when the salesperson gave me both a medium and large to try on but all she said was "trust me" and I'm glad I did. The medium I could barely even get over my knees and was tough to get on. Not what I wanted to struggle in to every time. The large didn't just glide on (it's a Spanx so it's not supposed to!) but was easily manageable and fit perfectly. Not too tight, very lightweight, gives a smooth appearance without feeling smashed in to something, doesn't dig in to the legs but doesn't roll up either, and the top part stayed put right where it was supposed to all night long! My salesperson said most people make the mistake of buying too small of a size and it will cause the top band to slip down after wearing it a while. I'm so glad I didn't let my vanity get the best of me and listened to her advice and purchased the large. It really was super comfortable to wear for several hours and I didn't even realize I had it on. My recommendation, size up, up, up!

I am usually a size medium and I purchased this in size large (5’’2, 140 pounds) I literally hurt myself so bad just passing the waist line through my legs and bottom. Once it was on, the first thing I couldn’t understand is why the front was black and the back was completely see through. So, you must wear underwear under this thing because it is completely transparent. Also, the leg cover is all the way to the knees, so you must just use biker shorts under your dress since the leg cover goes so long. Its a terrible product.
