Swing and a miss
If you’re hoping the new white pants are the equivalent to any of the faux leather leggings… you will be sorely disappointed. They do not shape or compress at all. The material is extremely thick… think heavy wool thick. You cannot see through them, true, but you will sweat just trying to get them on… then wearing them. I am a small in all things Spanx. Naturally, I ordered a small in the white pants- these are not small. I’m not sure what they truly are as the waistband is inflexible. After I struggled to get the band over my hips- it was very loose around the very high waistline. And that part of your lower stomach that’s usually nicely compressed?…Not with these! Super tight in the thighs (not compression or shaping, there’s very little stretch), baggy, almost like bell bottoms, below the knee. Returned them. I’m not sure how they got this so wrong.

silver lining
This material is a game changer. White with no see through at all. I appreciate the detailed stitching and modern crop straight fit. FYI there are faux front pockets and patch back pockets. My only complaint is that were extremely hard to get on. I have other Spanx pant type bottoms and the waist is plenty stretchy to allow for that easy pull on. As I attempted to get these on and was having difficulty, I thought maybe they had a side zip, but they do not. I have a Medium and they fit as shown on the model. I worry that the unstretchy waistband will shorten the lifespan of these pants.

sizing is off
The XL is too tight and the 1X is too big. The proportions are off…sadly neither size fit and had to return. LOVE the silver lining.

Size up!
I am an 8. I purchased a Medium and could not get them over my hips (even with the Soanx shimmy they tell you to do). Returned and purchased a Large. Fit is perfect, albeit a little loose, which is fine. Seems like they need a size between Medium and Large to fit people who ate a true size 8. Other than sizing, these pants are spectacular! I have been looking for a long time and even the very expensive brands were not great. These live up to their billing and are not see through at all, but are not thick either.
