Faux Leather Leggings

I ordered and tried 5 similar leather leggings: Halogen Faux Leather Leggings, Trouvé High Waist Faux Leather Leggings, Nordstrom Faux Leather Leggings, Hue Leatherette Leggings, & SPANX Faux Leather Leggings. The Halogen leggings were the winner! Well-made/good material, long enough (I'm 5'9"), comfortably high waist (didn't hit at a weird place to create bulges), and didn't have weird gaping fabric at the crotch or knees (as some of the others did). I'd heard great things about the Spanx version, but I found that they run very small - couldn't even get them past my hips! Trouvé and Nordstrom versions were decent, but didn't quite hit all the high points of the Halogen pair mentioned above. Hue leggings were the cheapest; low price and low quality.

The left in the picture are Spanx and the right ones are Commando. Spanx are comfortable- I could even lift and stretch in these! Breathable as well! I bought both brands because I felt each had their own pros. Spanx give great shape and DO NOT camel toe! No wrinkling/ scrunching of that area! They do have more silvery sheen to them, and a waistband (which give a more casual look compared to the Commando ones). I am 5’2 3/4” and 115 slim/toned build. I normally wear size 2 / 26 pants. Faux leather look wore off the first time I wore them and it only got worse. I’ve worn them a handful of times since receiving them at the end of August 2020. Pictures (Front and back) are currently what they look like now. Not sure if I just received a bad pair since I see influencers rave about them almost daily...I definitely fell into the hype and regret this pricey purchase.

Purchased both the large and XL because I wasn't sure which would fit and wanted to get at anniversary pricing. I wear a 12. The large, which is size 10-12, was too tight. The XL, which is 14-16, fit perfect. My stomach is were I am a full 12. I recommend to size up if you have a belly as well. Those with flat stomachs can follow sizing chart. The material is high quality and it holds you in all the right spots. These look great dressed up with booties or heels and a long tunic.

I hate pants. Like all pants with zippers and buttons. I wanted something that I could wear to an event that needs something slightly fancier than plain leggings. I am 5’4” and around 100lbs, I bought XS. These are some of the most comfortable leggings I own, and I have pairs that cost almost twice as much as these. I love that they’re supportive around the waist but are seamless and don’t dig in! They make your backside looks incredible and fit like a glove! The inside is almost like velour, very soft, yet the hug around your legs keeps you warm without overheating. The only downside is that these are so see-through. You don’t even have to bend over for them to be nearly transparent, just lift your leg up. I’ll have to find some way to work around it because they’re so cute and comfortable. Make sure you do the bend test before you go out!
