Lyon Ankle Wrap Wedge Espadrille (Women)

I love espadrilles but finding the perfect heel to platform ratio can be challenging. I found this perfect ratio in this shoe - gives some height without making me feel unstable with a heel that is too high. The insole is lined and is not jute. Yay! So much easier on the feet. The shoe runs large! I'm normally a 7.5 but had to exchange it for a 7 and I'm wondering if I should even go down another half size. You've got to have a perfect fit on the shoe itself because the ribbons aren't enough to give solo support. The canvas on the toe box is stiff and it's uncomfortable where it hits my foot and rubs against it. I haven't decided to keep them or return yet because of this. Also, the sole is jute but it's covered with rubber but I don't how long that covering will last before I'm walking on rope.

I really liked these shoes. I am 5'10" so heels are not something I usually wear because I will tower over most people. I wanted to get into the espadrille trend and these fit the bill. I tried both this height and the slightly taller heel and decided these were better for me. I would suggest sizing down because the back of the shoe does not really provide much support so the better your foot can fit between the toe box and the heel of the shoe the better. For someone who doesn't usually wear heels, I found these very comfortable and supportive. I usually wear a 9, sometimes 9.5 and kept the 8.5.

I often have troubles finding shoes that are comfortable as my feet have a slight bunion, are wide, and flat. I found these shoes extremely comfortable to wear and the front canvas fabric covers over most of the front part of my foot so my bunions were comfortable. Also, the heel is just high enough to provide support unlike most flats. I recommend pulling forward the back string loop for your foot to slip through then tying around your ankle as I saw this in a YT video and it provided great ankle support. I normally wear between a 7-7.5 and the 7M fit great.
