Solids Quarter Socks

Bought these for my son who is on the track team. Wore them to the track for practice straight out of the packaging (no wash), after his warmup laps he switched from regular running shoes to his spikes and noticed that the bottom of the socks were already really badly piling. Imagine a sock with a design and you turned it inside out with all the excess threads and such. Looked just like an inside out sock - except it was the exterior just from running around the track a few times I am so disappointed, I heard such great things about Bombas and was excited to get a pair for myself if he liked these. For such a high pricepoint I am really bummed we barely got one use out of them and we haven't even washed them yet!

While generally the material is good and cotton, toes and heels are not reinforced and are thinner skimpy material in these areas that one would expect to be stronger. The toes and heels start falling apart just after one or two times wearing them. I have purchased a these socks for myself and my husband, they all show same pattern of falling apart at toes and heels. Extremely disappointed! I would assume it intentional rather than a flaw, so we keep coming back for me. Unfortunately, people will switch brands rather than buy more. So, bad business strategy.

I was disappointed. I washed the socks once (in cold water) before wearing them, as I always do with new clothing. The Bomba socks proved to be too tight for my feet so I donated them to a local charity. Hopefully, someone who needs a pair of socks will find them to be perfect for them. Life is a series of interesting experiences.
