These have a great look and the little bit of lift in the heel is more comfortable than the flat sole most of this style have. The insole is just great, high quality, thick and dense cushioning, good arch. The outsole is rubber which has a little a little give but there is no midsole, when you remove the insole it is hard underneath. The insole has to do all the work. I ordered the Petrol which is a soft beautiful suede, very dark, very neutral. If you look at the photo, maybe you can tell that the collar opening is relatively small. It fit too close to the front of my ankle to be comfortable for me, and I could not just unlace the first eyelits because then the collar would be too loose and my narrow heel would slip. I am having to return.

Impressed with the fit and comfort. Soft cushioning in the sole is very comfortable and the uppers were soft and flexible. The snake print leather was cute. These are higher cut than similar shoes (not low cut) so they come up higher on top of your foot and ankle. Note that the soles and shoelaces are not white, they are a natural putty color. I liked it but if you want white they are not white. I am a size 7 and the 7 fit perfectly. If between sizes or you have a narrow foot I would size down 1/2 size, they are roomy. These fit and felt very similar to Paul Green sneakers, just higher cut.
