Smocked Waist Bubble Hem Midi Skirt

The description says it is true to size but I find it to be oversized. The elastic waist is very stretchy and there’s a lot of room for curvy girlies so definitely size down. I feel that you can even size down up to two sizes. The material is heavy and not see through so it’s perfect for fall or winter. You can either wash and wear or iron the bottom hem so it’s flat if you don’t want the bubble effect at the bottom. I’m 4’11” and this hits about 4 to 5 inches above my ankles. I’m returning for a smaller size.

The petite XL was perfect for me—I’m a short plus size who’s tired of getting everything hemmed (and a bubble hem is hopeless). As that might suggest, the sizing is very generous at the waist. In fact, given the comparative smallness of my waist, I could have gone down at least another size or two. However, the underskirt is a lot narrower than the overskirt, and sizing down again would lead to its hitching up. If you’ve a great disparity between hips and waist I’d advise not sizing down too much.
