Smocked Neck Long Sleeve Dress

I liked the material feels soft love the color, love the length, loved the pockets but theres a dart on the shoulder area that puckers up and just does not look flattering on me. I thought it might be from a hanger but nope its the darts. Not sure if letting these darts out will help. For reference I bought an XL.

The dress runs big and is made of poor quality material. It does not breathe at all and is very thick. The shape hides imperfections in your figure though and looks ok for a funeral, which is what I bought it for. It was pretty inexpensive too. If it wasn’t inexpensive I would have returned it and found something else to wear to the funeral.

I was looking for a conservative yet usable dress. I bought the XS, in blue. I look like im wearing a sack of potatoes bought from amazon for $15. IF you are modest, looking for and ULTRA covered dress, with zero trend and you do not mind it being wrinkled after 1 hour of using it, its an option. im returning. PS- I would size two sizes down, I'm an XS and it looked I was wearing a medium. I got the blue- it looks nothing like the photo.

This dress drapes beautifully and the fabric is higher in quality than what you’d expect at this price. Great buy. However, the dart at the shoulder is poorly sewn - the shoulder comes to point awkwardly. Looks like a bad hanger mark but it doesn’t fade with steaming. Another issue is that the self-tie belt bunches terribly and ends up looking like a cord more than a sash. My solutions were to have a seamstress extend the seam at the shoulder in a curved line to remove the point and place interfacing within the sash to prevent the bunching. The sash still creases but it lays more flat. Also, beware that this dress runs quite large.
