photo chromatic lenses are pretty cool!
8th pair of SMITH's First pair of photo chromatic lenses, pretty cool!
Wish the glasses part came in white, but all in all super happy with them, keeps wind and dirt out of your eyes, the Wild Cats are a little too far from my face to really protest ALL the dust and crud, but these do the trick!
Typical SMITH- awesome product/ awesome brand
Thanks

Absolute junk that Smith won't stand behind
Bought these glasses and the plastic tab on the corner of the lenses broke off within first month of use. Smith would not honor their warranty on a broken product that has been barely used. I was able to fix the first issue with some super glue on my own. However, since then, the little magnet has popped up out of its place on the arm and is not impossible to slid into its holder on the lenses. Again, all within the first 2 months of use and Smith will not honor their warranty. Would not recommend buying these poorly made/designed glasses.

Lens Tab Regularly Breaks due to Poor Design
These are good glasses but they are not fit for purpose. After a while, tabs on the lenses break off because of the accumulation of grit and sweat. I have gone through 4 replacement lenses which were previously covered under warranty but Smith has decided not to any longer. I can't recommend anyone spending 400 on a pair of MTB glasses that are designed poorly and simply don't last.

Poor Quality
My pair broke where the lenses and the arms attached. It was not covered by the so-called "lifetime warranty." I have other Smith products, and I can't believe the poor quality of these frames in comparison. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Low Quality Materials
The lens of my pair wore down over time where the arms attach to the frame and eventually broke. Despite advertising a lifetime warranty on the glasses, Smith says this is not covered. I would not recommend these sunglasses—there are higher quality options at lower or similar prices (i.e., POC or Oakley).

Susceptible To Breaking
I have quite a few Smith glasses I use for cycling. I typically recommend them to other. This model is quite different. I was resting mid ride and pulled these glasses off and the part of the lens that connects to the arm broke. Nothing rough or aggressive and they just snapped. Unfortunately not covered under warranty. I'd stick to the models that have full frame connections.

Smith quality isn't what it used to be
Two pairs broke in the exact same way. The glue where the lens meets the frame failed. these are otherwise undamaged and smith refused to warranty the 2nd pair. Such a bummer, because the optics on these are quite nice. The only other issue is that the way they sit on my face, I end up with a lot of sweat on the inside of the lens. Anyway, avoid these as the mag connection is nice, but not at the expense of durability. Smith's warranty terms have also been updated to include "The warranty program does not include a product that is lost, stolen, dropped, sat on, stepped on, run over, shattered, chewed by your pet, or any other damage that is caused by misuse, abuse, or negligence; the warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colors and material through time, exposure or extensive use." Those terms are so vague that they can include anything in "normal wear and tear, natural breakdown, or extensive use. In short their once awesome warranty is now largely useless.
