What it is: A long-wearing, luminous mineral powder foundation with sheer-to-medium buildable coverage and a soft, satin finish.

What it does: It visibly smoothes skin and blurs imperfections, improves the look of skin texture and minimizes pores while not settling into fine lines and wrinkles. The oil-free, nondrying formula controls shine without compromising radiance and goes on with coverage that's never cakey or overly powdery. The mess- and waste-free grinder lets you freshly grind your desired amount of powder. It doubles as a setting and finishing powder over your liquid foundation or concealer.
How to use: Get fresh powder with every twist. Wear alone or over foundation as a setting and finishing powder. Apply with a kabuki brush as a foundation or a fan brush as a setting powder. It can also be used to mattify the T-zone.

The Most Heavenly Product On The Market!
I am so amazed at how this powder is light weight but gives "Air brushed" flawless coverage. I have tried to explain it to several other ladies but the easiest thing to do is to take them to the department store so they can see the transformation for themselves. Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder was sent from above for those of us who have had a hard time trying to find the perfect foundation. I don't like the brush because you have small black hairs from the brush on your face but if you invest in a quality brush, you will be in heaven. The only down side is that they must have more color choices. There are too many ladies that fall between the colors. I happen to be blessed enough to be medium. I receive so many compliments when wearing the foundation, I carry an empty box in my hand bag so I don't have to write the name down. Thank you Smashbox but someone at Nordstorm's needs to encourage them to add more shade choices and then their sales will blow completely up!!!Are you listening Smashbox?

Disappointing
I bought this a couple weeks ago. I love loose powder foundation as its quick and easy to get on in the mornings but I am really disappointed with Smashbox's Halo powder foundation. I love the compact and how you turn it in order to "shave" off your desired amount of powder but, you could shave that compact all day and not get enough coverage to make your skin tone even and provide a blemish-free appearance. After only an hour of wear, I look like I just brushed on some translucent finishing powder. I was told that you could get medium to full coverage with this before I bought it...You cannot.

great if you don't have problems
I have rosacea skin, nothing major but definate redness & veins on my cheek area. I first used Bare Minerals -too powdery, then Elizabeth Arden -still good coverage but powdery, then Laura Mercier-good but heavy feeling on face. Tried this hoping the coverage and feel would be great but it turns out to be just ok. Feels great on but coverage is not enough. Must dot concealer on red areas and still doesn't last all day. Always have used smashbox photo finish as a primer but with this its still too drying-actually use a heavier moisturizer on face before applying so the makeup will adhere to skin. I think this would be great for someone with perfect skin which sadly I do not have!

Celiac's BEST Makeup
What can I not say about this product. I am a Celiac and there were tons of product that I could not wear - foundations especially, because it would break out my skin. Not to mention the horrible rashes I would get from other products that all other normal people have been able to use. This product is not only easy on my skin, but looks fantastic, goes on smooth - so smooth that when people see me they ask me what have I been doing to have such beautiful skin. It wears well ALL DAY long. I have sweated in this make up and have had no streaks or blotchyness - and most importantly it doesn't make me sick! Awesome powder!!!

Power that covers and lasts
This is a wonderful product to use over moisurizers, or over foundation. Bare Minerals did nothing for me, while this gives wonderfully even and natural color. As a person who lives on a boat on Lake Michigan summer weekends, this product lasts and lasts. Finally, my skin looks younger and fresher at 69 yrs. of age; I'm usually taken to be in my 50s.

Best I've used
I agree with everyone here. Best powder I have ever used. Covers like a powder but doesn't look like one. I have light skin and use the fair. I will never use anything else. Well worth the money.

This is a wonderful product. It goes on like silk and stays on all day. It has nice coverage without looking dull. I am in my 60's so finding something that looks so great is a real bonus.
