Small Le Pliage Xtra Leather Crossbody Bag

I have this bag style in medium in the energy line. I love it for work. I wanted the small to use as daily handbag and I went with leather so it felt more luxurious as a purse. I bought black. It’s cute, and the leather is okay but overall it just did not look or feel like a $600+ handbag. I really disliked the long strap, it’s very long so has tons of slack when shortened up, there is no leather loop to hold the doubled slack in place so it’s very sloppy looking. I think it should have a longer thin leather strap to maintain a more elevated feel. The canvas or nylon strap looks like a gym bag. I also wish the carrying handles were on metal loops so the handles folded down when using the longer strap - they just stand upright awkwardly so when carrying the bag instead of looking chic and lux it’s a hot mess of straps and handles plus the over flap for the zipper. I think I will purchase the small size in the energy instead because at least then I feel it’s priced right for the things I dislike, ($355 add on just for the leather seems a bit much). The longer strap also matches the nylon bag much better than the leather bag. I was just meh on this bag but for the price point of $620 it was super underwhelming. Also didn’t help that Nordstrom shipped it in a plastic small clear garbage can liner bag tied in a knot with no stuffing or interior protection. Felt like something I bought on a used online site at full price. I returned this bag.

I purchased both Small and Medium Xtra Leather bags to compare them and decide on which one I like. They are both nice but I picked the small Xtra leather this time. It has a nice leather material (not the soft leather), roomy, well made, worth the price (kind of pricey). I like the medium Xtra leather also but the small Xtra leather is what I need right now.
