Slick Waterline Eye Pencil

I never write reviews but I had to do it. I normally buy the Urban Decay Waterline eye pencil but wanted to give this one a try. It goes on very smoothly but after 30 minutes it starts to smear and it’s hard to touch up when you have mascara on because it gets on your upper lids too. Wanted to love it but sadly I couldn’t. I hope this will help someone else. Because I read the reviews before buying this one which were positive so I took their reviews into consideration and I made a mistake. This is the best photo I could share with you because it’s hard for me to show you this area. But if you look closely, you’ll see that’s it’s smearing, wearing off as if I tried blending it, which I did not! I will not be using it but since I opened it, I won’t return it. I hope my first review will save someone the time and money that I wasted.

I have used a Smashbox Ever-sharp brown eye pencil for many years for my upper waterline. I found it worked (quite by mistake) byr kind of drawing up at the lash line, as if you were training to paint your eyelashes with upward strokes). I have found the traditional way the makeup people instruct you to do this doesn't work for me. So when I saw this, I knew it had to work! Wrong! It is much too soft and before I even leave my house I have rings and smudges at the end of my eyes and on the bottom lashes. I tried it a couple of times, thinking maybe I had too much eye cream or moisturizer on, but nope. Didn't matter. Won't buy again. As an aside, I did buy the Melt pot creme liner and it seems to perform a little better although you do need the brush and it's not as perfect an application on the waterline as I get with the Smashbox product.
