Sleeveless Plissé Midi Dress

This dress slims and lengthens my 5-feet tall, size 12 figure. I paid full price and feel it was worth it given how versatile a style it is; it is easy to dress up or dress down. My only regret is that I did not leave it at the maxi length it was when I purchased it. I used the in-store alterations service, and they refused to sew a hem on the garment but instead simply cut from the length at the bottom of the dress, saying it would be fine. It wasn’t; by the end of the evening the first time I wore it, a thick layer of frayed threads was hanging from the entire bottom of the dress. (The dress isn’t damaged, but I will have to go elsewhere – – and pay additional money – – to have it properly hemmed.)
