Sisleÿa Le Teint Anti-Aging Foundation

First, does anyone need a $170.00 foundation? you just might? I honestly did not want to like this product. I was given a generous sample by the lovely ladies at Pioneer Square Nordstrom and popped it in my purse and sort of forgot about it. I had just bought the new La Mer Soft Fluid Foundation (which is amazing) and was happy with my purchase and not necessarily looking for another NEW foundation. BUT, upon cleaning out my purse, I found the samples and decided to give it try because the Sisley ladies were RAVING about it. Could it really be that good? Evidently, YES it CAN. Oh my! I could not believe how amazing my skin looked and felt upon trying this foundation. You can't feel it on the skin but it is sort of plumps it up and just makes my skin look healthy. The coverage is fantastic. There is some sort of magic in this because you only have to use a very little amount to give you a medium coverage and you can build it up in places where you need it. The best part is that the foundation actually looks better as the day goes on. Your skin takes on a healthy glow- not greasy- just healthy. I am 48 with hyperpigmentation and it is the perfect mix of coverage. Now the shade range is a bit different. It ranges from 0R/0B to 4R/4B. I was have light to medium skin tone and was given a sample of both Linen 2B and Ivory 1B and I opted for the 1B because the Linen was a tad bit too dark. I would normally go for LINEN in other foundations -- so I would go get matched at the counter or shade down 1. I seriously can't get over the way this feels on my skin all day. Comfortable and hydrating and stays put. I used this with the new primer and without and have to say, I prefer it without it. For me, it just looks better directly on the skin. So, is it worth $170.00.... well, I am rationalizing that it actually skin care and yes, I would spend $170.00 on a good serum. This foundation actually is chockful of anti-aging goodies, like peptides and antioxidants and this brand has amazing skincare. If you are like me, and are at the age where you want anything you put on your skin to be clean and have health benefits to it, then this foundation is definitely for YOU.

I am a regular consumer of high end cosmetics. I purchased Sisley Paris fond de teint anti-age foundation about six months ago. I was so pleased I wanted to buy the same product but in another shade for summer. The quality went downhill. The first purchase I was so in love. It was so creamy and heavenly. When I received the latest product, I was shocked. It was if the product was watered down. It literally ran down my wrist like water. I know we are in perilous economic times and companies are trying to cut cost, but this was silly. I want quality and I am willing to pay for it. I know high quality, but a $6.99 bottle of wet n wild is better than this.
