Phyto-Blanc Lightening Cleansing Milk with Botanical Extracts

I finally decided to splurge on myself and buy this item. After first use I experienced redness on cheeks, chin and forehead. I've never been fond of applying cleansers to a dry face, so the next time, I wet skin first then applied. Same result, reddening of the face. I refused to accept something at this price could be causing a reaction, so I tried one more use and had same results. This was recommended by the Beauty Dept. for sensitive skin. There's something in there not good for sensitive skin: fragrance, botanical extracts, or some unknown.

I had always assumed that cleansers didn't matter, as they are washed off the face. So I used the ones that I could find in my supermarket. Well, it turns out that I was wrong. A sales associate at Nordstrom gave me several samples of this cleanser. I immediately noticed that not only did it cleanse my skin of residual makeup, but it left it SO soft (rather than dry and tight, as other cleansers did) and my skin actually looked better and better the more I used this. As a result of my using this and other Sisley products (the Black Rose line), I need to use less makeup to look good. No break-outs, no redness, no dryness. Yes, this is a pricey cleanser. But using cheap products that not only do nothing good for your skin, but actually dry it out so that you produce more oil, which leads to pimples... well, that's what I call a "false economy." This is not only worth the price, but I will buy it again -- definitely. That being said, I only use as little as I have to on my face brush, only at night. I feel no need to use cleanser in the morning, as I have nothing to take off my face. So in the A.M., I just use rosewater and a cotton ball to cleanse my face. (I'm willing to pay for quality, but I'm not profligate!)
