Gentle Facial Buffing Cream with Botanical Extracts

I have major issues with dry skin once the temperatures start to cool and the air gets dryer. I have been struggling with this for years and have spent a ridiculous amount of money on moisturizers, serums and exfoliators. Went into my store yesterday and explained the problem I was having with dryness and my very expensive foundation looking all splotchy and flaky all winter and was recommended this product... Have used it ONCE and my skin looks like new skin - I honestly can't even believe the results... I never write reviews but felt compelled after my experience. If you have similar struggles in the winter, you HAVE to try this...

I first tried this as a sample from Nordstroms. I was super impressed and bought some. I love it, would give 10 stars if I could. Context: I'm very skeptical about the claims made by companies for what their lotions, creams, masks, etc can do (I don't believe there is any miracle product that can turn old skin into young skin...). But now I am a believer that some products can make your skin look great and thus minimize the appearance of ageing. That is exactly what this buffing cream does. It buffs or polishes off the dead dry skin cells and leaves behind a glowy, and VERY smooth skin that looks more uniform (uniform in color, texture, etc), and it also allows my moisturizer to work WAY better for DAYS after I apply the buffing cream. It is kinda a cure for "winter face" and I can see how tired, dry, uneven skin can look much older and duller compared to after I use this product. I really have never, ever had any product work as well as this one- on my skin it really does exactly what it says it will do. FWIW, my skin is pretty dry.

At first I was very skeptical as this is 95 dollars and I questioned what good it could really do against my Tata Harper Rejuvenating Cleanser which I use twice a week as an exfoliator. However, I was completely taken aback by how truly amazing this piece of skincare is. I use it no more than once a week at night when I want my other skin care and serums to really penetrate and I want to see an actual difference in my skin in the morning. It doesn't dry my skin out and keeps it soft and looking radiant. I would like to note, however, that if you have more acne-prone skin that this product may be a bit more agitating as it is a physical exfoliator. While I didn't experience any issues with it when I had more severe acne, this is still important to keep in mind as physical exfoliators tend to be very rough on acne and can cause more breakouts to occur. My skin is combination with a more oily t-zone and the rest of my face fluctuating between normal and dry. Amazing product coming from an amazing brand and I think it's really worth the investment if you want to splurge on your skincare!

I received a few samples of this before buying a full jar. I have extremely sensitive skin that gets ruddy and irritated very fast. This buffing cream is exactly as it states: gentle. I had to back off using acid exfoliators and needed something to take the dead skin layers off the top. This buffing cream, you only need a very very thin layer, allow it to dry and gentle 'buff' it off. I didn't need much pressure for this to work and my skin felt incredibly smooth afterwards. For those who cannot tolerate AHAs and anything rough on the skin causes irritation, Sisley has come to the rescue!

Did I mention I Love this product. I have been using this for four years and truly see a difference each time I use. It is so satisfying to see the clay particles remove dead skin. Paired with the brightening mask after and you glow :) A big fan of Sisley products and they last a while as you don’t need to use a lot.
