What it is: An 8-inch sensor mirror with a large 5x magnification mirror and 10x detail mirror that magnetically attaches to the front and stores on the back.
What it does: With a color rendering index of 90, its tru-lux system closely simulates natural sunlight's full color spectrum to show every detail. Capable of over 50,000 color variations, you can use the mirror with your phone to choose presets or capture light settings from the environment around you and recreate them on the mirror. Save your favorite places to your phone and access your custom light settings wherever you are. It is Wi-Fi®-enabled, so you can access the mirror's smart features easily. The mirror easily recharges, and one charge lasts up to four weeks. Its motion sensor detects when you are in front of the mirror, so it lights up automatically as your face approaches, and, once in use, the sensitivity of the motion sensor increases so that it won't turn off unexpectedly. Best mirror! - Linking advice
The mirror is very pretty and it functions very well. Best mirror I've ever owned, glad I got it!
For those people who have problems linking the mirror to your phone app, check your iOS version is updated. I also have trouble linking and almost return the mirror, but once I updated my iOS, I could link with no problems.

Great for tweezing only
The only pro is that the magnification is amazing for tweezing any hair on your face. The light is far too bright to see the true color of my makeup and you have to use the app to dim it or change it which is INSANE because the app NEVER WORKS and is akways disconnecting. I can’t effectively do my full face without being right up a few inches from the mirror because the magnification to just too high to get an accurate view of how my makeup looks all together and without the harsh light blaring unflatteringly at me, it actually hurts my eyes to do my makeup in this thing. I cannot for the life of me understand how one cannot manually dim the default bright sunlight as the app is pointless. If you want to pay 150-200 for an amazing mirror to tweeze stray hairs then this is for you. Otherwise it’s an obnoxious tool that is frustrating to use. No issues with the sensor though, it works and shuts off when your face is too far away, but like I said, the mirror has such a high magnification that your all blurry anyway and can’t see your whole face when your more than a few inches away.

Disappointing
I have purchased this mirror and am so disappointed. The mirror is beautiful and clear but it is useless without the app and the app is horrible. First of all, it is not bluetooth so you always have to relink your mirror. The app does not save anything including your home Wifi password which means every time your phone leaves your home, you have to relink the mirror. This is so time consuming and a bad design ( I don't have to do this with my iHome devices) . Without the stupid app (which is only for iphones and not an iPad) , the mirror only has ONE setting . The standard old Conair makeup mirror has more. I don't understand why this mirror was not consumer tested.

Disappointed
Was so excited to purchase this mirror after talking with the sales associates. Within one week the 10x mirror fell out of its holder and the glass shattered. The 10X is the part I need. I contacted simplehuman and asked if I could buy a replacement. They have not bothered to respond. Their app is difficult to set up. Wish I would not have spent the money.

Major Flaws (and they're not on your face)
The basics of this mirror are great. The light is bright and the size and clarity of the mirror is wonderful. However, you have to use an app in order to adjust the light settings to 'gym, office, dinner, etc.' or it only has one (really bright) setting! The app is a huge pain to use. You have to re-link it each time to use it, and I can't tell you how many times I'm sitting at my make-up table 're-linking' this stupid thing only to have 'mirror not found' come up. Not only that, the charge doesn't last more than a couple of days, but the cord is way too short to keep plugged in all the time. I'm so disappointed in this mirror.
