Signature Classic Coated Canvas Tote

About Me: I drive to work everyday and sit in my office most of the time. Although there are bouts of travel that I go through. I just bought this bag a week ago and I do plan to travel with it. Having said that, I bought this bag for work. The Bag: Function: I love the functional design, I found this lacking in all bags except LODIS brand bags, but they all seemed small and I personally wasn't a fan of their black bags having red on the outside seams. My 13" MacAir fits perfectly inside. My iPhone, even with the apple phone case with battery pack on, fits perfectly inside, as well. There is a place for my business card case, 3 pens, and 3 additional pockets, my 48 oz. Nalgene has a neoprene holder. I also love the structure that the outter canvas provides. I previously used a leather work bag, but over time it became scratched and it lost it's form which caused it to begin slouching. The soft leather handles feel nice and are of good quality. I appreciate that the handles are sewn on in a sturdy manner; I've busted bag handles just out of sheer use (Your welcome for my purchase, Kate Spade). Design: The bag itself is plain, it's not necessarily going to make you feel like you're turning heads (but you might be, lol). I put a furry puff ball on the outer D shaped clip (not sure of the name, but you know - the trending accessory of late); so that's helped. I gave the bag 4/5 stars because it lacked the "status" or "glamour" for the price I paid. Depending on your priorities, you can decide if it's a 4 or a 5. Also, I was wavering between the Legend and the Classic. I chose the Classic and I'm happy with my purchase. I believe the Legend would've been too big. I don't believe the picture and product descriptions do the bags justice. It's my feeling that this bag will be a good investment and last me awhile. Good luck!

I've read that this tote is heavy (and it is) but in the end, I returned it because of its style, not weight. The canvas exterior and lack of hardware made it feel too pedestrian to be a polished work tote -- and at this price, I wanted something a little more special. It also has no exterior pockets, a detail which I couldn't overlook given its other shortcomings. That said, it is clearly a well-made bag. The organization is great and I like the feet at the bottom of the bag. I think this bag could be a good fit for someone who wants a practical, workhorse bag -- especially if they commute by car and don't have to worry as much about weight or quick-access pockets.

I loved how high quality the purse looks and feels. I bought the purse in Blush. The compartments are really handy, and I love that the exterior texture is like saffiano leather, but in the end I have to return the bag for 2 reasons: 1) Weight- the bag itself is super heavy. Once I put my laptop, travel mug, and a thin notebook in, the bag weighs a ton and I can already foresee it giving me shoulder problems. One redeeming feature is the quality and sturdiness of the shoulder straps- instead of flimsy single band shoulder straps, this tote features bonded double layered straps, but the purse is still too heavy at baseline. 2) The compartments are really stiff, so this bag is not as versatile as it could be. If I want it to be a weekender bag, for example, and I am not using the laptop or travel mug compartment, those partitions just take up space, preventing me from easily packing in my cosmetics bags and clothes. I'm disappointed I'm returning the bag because I tried so hard to like it, but at this price point, I can't afford to keep it as a non-versatile option.

I bought this as a work bag and wanted it to work but it was just too tight a fit. The bag is still big, but I like BIG bags. I was able to fit my work chrome book my 20oz yeti, wallet, sunglasses and the little things like some pens, lipgloss, etc buy it couldn’t hold the regular folders (fivestar paper folders) I also need for work without bending them or making them go sideways. So I returned for the lengend tote. However I gave it 4 stars because it could work for others that only need to carry a 13” laptop to work and just their personal stuff. It is a little heavy when full, but since I drive to work and only have to carry it on my shoukdner for several minutes at a time it is not bad and I LOVE how it stands up straight on its own.

This is an awesome work bag. The material is super sturdy and the handles are really thick to hold a lot of weight. I thought this was going to be the size of a medium size bag and i would say its more of a large bag comparison. I'm pretty petite at 5"2" and 135 LBS and this is a large bag on me but for work and carrying a laptop with folders and a charger its perfect. The inside has quite a few pockets, is very roomy, and has a removable cup holder. This is a great bag, i only gave 4 stars though because i do wish it could be just a smidge smaller to better fit my frame and still have room to fit the laptop instead of the smaller bag option that only fits a tablet..
