What it does: This refreshing moisturizing cream brightens skin and diminishes the look of dark spots and unevenness. Skin is left looking bright, vibrant, dewy and filled with moisture. How to use: Use morning and evening after cleansing and softening your skin. Take two pearl-sized amounts and place on the five points of your chin (each cheek, forehead, nose and chin). Smooth from the center outward.

Excellet skin brightening product
I have been using the White Lucent line for years and all of the products have been worth their price. So when this brightening gel cream was introduced, I knew it would live up to its name. From the first time I used it, I could see a difference in my skin - it did look brighter. (I am in my early sixties.) This purchase is my second jar, and although the jar is not big, the product itself lasts a long time. I recommend.

Doesn't Work, Strong Smell
I decided to give it a try after reading the review and was quite hopeful. By putting in on for the very first time I already knew this was not a product that would do anything to brighten up my skin. Still I have been applying it morning and night every day for three weeks on one side of my face while using (Vit. C + Abutin) by The Ordinary on the other side. I've seen no difference made whatsoever. The fragrance made me feel a bit nausea as it smells more like some low class perfume; also the texture is really ordinary. I would've given two more stars if it just makes me feel good (both smell and texture) even it does nothing for me. But none! No more Shiseido as I can't tolerate the fragrance they put in their products, regardless if any works for me.

Cheers y’all, I love shiseido, been using it for almost 30 years and I like this product a lot, I think it does add some brightness or a glowing to my skin but my problem is, It’s quite sticky while it’s drying, it’s more like a gel. But once it dries my face feels Dewey and fresh. If you have any hyperpigmentation or discoloration, try this, it works!

Nice Gel Cream for Day and Night
This Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Gel Cream is very light and it absorbs quickly; I can use it under my makeups which is a big plus. And with Shiseido skincare, I have never had an allergy reaction to it although my skin is so very sensitive, especially my neck area. However, I have been using this gel cream for only a week, so I cannot tell whether it is effective for dark spots and discoloration or not. I probably come back after two months to update the result.

A great Shiseido product. I use it twice a day as instructed and already see a difference, with just a week of use. I highly recommend, especially with those of us who have dark spots.

Greasy cream
I am disappointed in this new line from Shiseido. I find this skin care line from Japan is much better quality than these products made in the US. I miss the discontinued products of the White Lucent line, this one is full of oily, inexpensive vegetable oils. Other lines of skin care have made this change so read ingredients carefully. I have switched to La Prairie White Caviar skin care line which is a much better quality. I don't mind paying more for a quality product. La Prairie is also found on this Nordstrom site.
