Highly recommended for dewy, natural look
I never write foundation reviews, because I never like one enough. I'm not some die-hard Shiseido fan either; I keep trying different foundations as I'm a cosmetic junkie. And I've tried many, from drugstore to high-end (Armani, Chanel, Dior, Guerlain, YSL, etc.) to Japanese & Korean brands. I almost never empty a bottle. Yet, this is currently the first foundation I keep going back to - when I want to look good and healthy. It's not a full coverage foundation, so those with more skin issues/who like full coverage may not find this covers enough. This foundation has a light, watery consistency and dewy finish - almost like you're not wearing makeup. I like natural makeup, so that's what I'm looking for, and 1 push with this pump is almost too much (I feel like I'm wasting the product - but for a normal person it's probably a good amount). I buff it out with a dense brush, like one from Artis or Shiseido, and it doesn't sit in my pores - it looks very smooth. If you want to know how natural it looks: My dermatologist had to ask if I'm wearing any makeup. I use it with Honest Beauty Everything Primer (pore-blurring ones with silica didn't work too well); that seems to work best so far. I tried it with one of the Japanese Shiseido primers, and oddly enough, it didn't seem as compatible. I'm an Asian with not too much yellow undertone, MAC NC20/021 in Dior, and N2 works well. At the end of the day my nose gets slightly shiny, but nothing a sheet of tissue/blotting paper can't fix. I'd take that over dryness any day. My cheeks tend to be on the slightly dry side, so this may not be best fit for oily skin. The only fault I find with this foundation is that it has slight fragrance - it's a known skin irritant, and I could have done without. (It's not too overpowering.) Other than that, if I were having my wedding today, this would be the foundation I'd wear.

Oily and sheer
Shiseido discontinued various foundations that I have been using for years. I have literally tried every other foundation they currently offer in hopes of finding a formulation comparable to Shiseido's Perfect Refining Foundation or Shiseido's Dual Balancing Foundation. This is definitely not it. It is not very buildable and causes creasing throughout the day, even with multiple powder applications. I am very disappointed.

weightless and imperceptible
This is very lightweight foundationnthat feels like nothing on the face. A very subtle glow to it too. I have oily skin and it didnot make me look oily. I picked up G3 which was a tad light but still workable. May need to go up to G4 and hope its not too dark. But truly stunning foundation.

Get that Glow
At my age if it has the word Glow in it I am trying it ! I know Shiseido products are usually very good so I thought I would give this a try. I was not dispoointed ! This will be my foundation from now on...it goes on flawlessly and the texture is really nice. It is not a full coverage but I am ok with that .. I tend to like these lighter types of foundations better on my skin. It gives you nice coverage and makes your skin look dewy with a soft glow ... but not oily in any way. The price is not too bad either when it comes to high end foundations.

Simply The BEST!!!!!
How anyone could write a negative review about this makeup is beyond me. Being over 70 years old I have tried every foundation known to man. This Shiseido makeup is absolutely the BEST foundation I have ever used ! My greatest concern is Shiseido will discontinue it. I introduced it to my three daughters and sister they all purchased it and love, love it ! Keep up the good work Shiseido and PLEASE do not discontinue this fabulous make up.

No heavy thick mess-clean & smooth
Wasn't sure about the color until I tried it on. No heavy mess to clean up and it gave me a clean look without the heavy make-up look I have been using. Use the Hourglass primer with it. This foundation went on so smooth and was so quick drying--finished it with a dust of powder and couldn't believe the results. I love it so much-- I'm buying another bottle.

Chose this foundation due to recommendations from bloggers. I would agree it has a beautiful dewy finish, however, it does not last all day. Good for an event. Good coverage and soft finish but if you need a full day foundation, this is not the one.
