Sun Protection Lip Treatment SPF 35

I like this, as I do most Shiseido products. I'm especially happy to find a lip treatment that has the 36 SPF, which is pretty rare. Even though this is supposed to be colorless, be prepared to have a pale, white film on your lips after you've applied it. Whatever. I'd rather have the protection on my lips, which burn easily, since I can easily apply color overtop.

I don't doubt it does what it is suppose to do - protect your lips from harmful UV rays. However, this does make my lips appear white.

This is my absolute favorite lip balm. Its silky, shiny, and nourishing, and just the right amount of tackiness so that the shine is relatively long lasting (not sticky tho). The best part is that the sun protection lasts for up to 6 hours, even after the balm absorbs and you don't reapply. If you do apply balm habitually and/or in several layers (which I do) you will notice it does have a slight, white sheen. I actually love this effect, because my lips are really red, and this helps them look a bit pink. While there are other very good and less expensive balms with SPF on the market (Supergoop!), this is super protective and nourishing and feels like nothing else I've ever used. Definitely recommended. Anyways, If you hate it, Nordstrom's always takes back makeup products, even if they're used <3

This product is white in the tube but goes on clear with a hint of shine, can be worn alone or under any lip color product, and gives the highest SPF protection for a lip product that I have found. A must-have for anyone who is outside at all during the daylight hours. Not inexpensive but worth the price for the unmatched SPF rating and for its lubricating but non-greasy quality.

I've repurchased this several times, mostly because SPF 35 is relatively high for a lip sunscreen (in my opinion, wearing a SPF10 or SPF15 lip sunscreen is not really worth it). Pros: it is a relatively inoffensive formula, with no discernible smell. Cons: it definitely leaves a white cast. But this is not bad if your natural lips lean warm or cool, since this ends up making my lips a more neutral canvas applying lip color on top. Although it is not a perfect product, I am sad that this is being discontinued.

I love this sunscreen! It feels great on the lips, smooth, not tacky or sticky. Is it worth the price? Depends on your budget. I know there are some other brands that are equally as good and cost a fraction of this, but I purchased this for a gift with purchase.
