The Canfield Chrono Leather Strap Watch, 43mm

I bought this for myself primarily because I’m tired of using my phone to check the time. I needed something easy to read, classy, along with quality. Don’t need to count my steps, don’t want to use my watch as a phone. I just want a watch that had one purpose: to tell time! 43mm is large on a woman’s wrist but this works for me because it’s like I’m wearing a piece of jewelry. The soft brown band, with the white face and gold accents make it feminine. A dark colored watch at 43mm would be too masculine and heavy looking on my wrist. All just a matter of personal preference.

Having grown up in Michigan, I was intrigued by the story of this Detroit company. When I saw my nephew wearing this watch, it really stood out. I didn't want to steal his thunder so I bought one with a blue face. This brown watch continued to haunt me. When I heard that this model was going out of production, I was so happy that Nordstrom's still had one available. I had to have it! When it arrived in it's giant wooden (yes, real wood) box, it looked every bit as beautiful and shiny as I had remembered. This watch is an eye-catcher as are many Shinola models. Highly recommended.

This watch is magnificent!!! My wife bought it for me as our first year anniversary gift and what initially stood out was the quality of the watch. I had never heard of Shinola up to this point so I didnt know the details of the brand. As soon as I started wearing it I received multiple compliments from people who know and recognize the brand. After doing my research, the quality that I initially recognized was supported by Shinola's commitment to excellence and quality in their development process. I couldn't be happier with this watch and that says a lot coming from a perfectionist. I hope Nordstrom always carries the Shinola Brand!
