'WindPro®' Auto Open & Close Umbrella

Here in Chicago there are plenty of windy rainstorms, but today this WindPro has passed the ultimate test, perhaps short of a tropical hurricane. So, right now my pants and shoes are drenched. But these wet socks are not the fault of the umbrella. You can't do much to protect yourself when rain falls "upways." Nevertheless, my head and shoulders are as dry as overcooked chicken, thanks to ShedRain. ShedRain's ingeniously designed umbrella never inverted itself. To me it looked like the wind went through the vents in the canopy and the impacts of gusts were absorbed by little devices in the "ribs". Whatever the reason, it worked. Plus it automatically opens and closes beautifully with the push of a button. I've owned just a few umbrellas this past year and both of them turned inside out the instant there was a slight breeze. I am grateful that I went to Nordsrom to find this one. It's a lifesaver and a backpack full of paper saver. One lesson I've recently learned is to never pick the cheapest umbrella at Walgreens. I see this umbrella quite possibly lasting a lifetime.
