Shadow Water Resistant Insulated Hooded Jacket

I love Outdoor Research and especially this eco-friendly design; however, thus rendition of the Shadow jacket is very form fitting and nothing like the original version. Perhaps this will be useful for someone interested in running. But I bought several colors in the original design which is perfectly suited for barn chores. Had to return this one. Thankful for Nordstrom’s exceptional return policy and customer service.

I loved this jacket, it was the perfect mix of warm and stretchy, the sleeve length was awesome (I actually like that they covered my hands and I loved the thumb holes). But it's just too fitted for me. Maybe I should size up but I'd say this OR jacket runs small. I'm broad shouldered but have always been an M in OR jackets, guess this one is just meant to run snug? Might be fine for some ppl but I could barely breathe lol. Returning, I might try the size up but not sure if it would look too baggy...it's meant to be fitted but just not meant for my body type I guess!

The body of the jacket was perfect. However, the sleeves were unusually long, without cuffs or elastic and I would have needed to roll them up. For reference I am 5'8" and 155 pounds, I have long arms for my height. Buyer beware, notice the model in the photo of the mint green jacket - the sleeves really are that long.

I purchased this last month and am disappointed by the fit. The quality seems good, but the fit is so off. The medium was SO large. The sleeves hang over my hands and the body/trunk portion is incredibly large. I purchased a small jacket from OR just a few weeks prior, and that was too small. I am so disappointed with the inconsistent sizing. Outdoor Research used to make my absolute favorite jackets but now I am zero for two.
