Grande Hotel Euro Sham

Immediately compared these to white percale luxury long staple cotton 200 tc Barrata Stitched white/white Euro shams I also purchased from the Frette Hotel Classic Collection as well as a set of the same design of shams in this design and material from the Riley Home brand of linens. These were folded and packaged nearly identically with equal specs and expectations; in fact, before removing any of the 3 sets from these brands from the original packaging, they appear almost identical. However, this was my only disappointing set as one would think based on the listed equal thread count, color, stitching and overall design in the common long staple percale cotton material to get close to an identical hand and translucency to the material of each sham between them all. These fell short on softness, and I would recommend the Analisa Sferra line of percale shams if one wishes to have percale cotton by Sferra with an overall higher quality that can hold its own when compared to these others, so long as one is set on this brand but is willing to sacrifice the dual rows of embroidered stitching along the face of each sham. I think if they had not been viewed side-by-side with the others I ordered, perhaps it may have passed by me for a few uses in rotation before I noticed exactly what qualities seemed a tad inferior in this particular option of the 3 purchased. Sferra is one of my favorite linen companies and I do recommend their quality apart from this specific purchase of the euro shams in their Grande Hotel line only.
