Layered Necklace Detangler

I wear 2 necklaces constantly, both are on pretty fine chains. I only take them off to clean them periodically but they do tend to get twisted up around each other often enough that this seemed like a good idea. Bonus - I recently got nails and it is near to impossible to work with tiny jewelry clasps, so this put me back in control of putting on/taking off without leaning on my daughter or husband to help me out. Things were fine for about 45 days although the detangler itself is a little chunky/clunky so it felt a little "meh" next to my very delicate chains. A couple of days ago I woke up to my necklaces completely snarled, tangled and knotted - far beyond an inconvenient "oh they got a little twisted up." I wasn't even sure if I was going to be able to unravel them. I did, but that was enough for me to retire this for now. (I know there is an easier solution - don't go to bed with your necklaces on, but that's not me.)
