'Ela' Curvy Fit Pants

I am 84 yrs. old and because of bad legs have to wear long pants to work (yes, I still work three days a week in an office). Have had problems trying to find a pant that fits a woman with too much weight around the hips and a pant that can be worn for work and special occasion. Well, I was thrilled four years ago after my first purchase of Sejour Curvy Fit pants. They were a perfect fit and looked great. (I am 5' 5" and weigh 205lbs.) Since then, I have bought five more pair, and am a happy old lady. Thank you thankyou thank you.

Attention, manufacturers - not all women want their pants to be plastered to their legs, especially those of us who actually carry weight not just in our hips and bellies, but also we extremely thick women who carry weight in our lower thighs, our chubby knees and calves that should have their own zip codes. I understand that you are trying to cater to the majority of larger women who have slim legs, but in the process, you have abandoned those of us who really ARE curvy, thick and heavy. Sometimes, curvy women want TAILORED slacks that fall and drape a bit conservatively. These aren't it. The minute I pulled the waist up over my knees, the fabric started to tighten at my knees. These new styles with stretch show every single lump and bump because they aren't cut wide enough to fall away from the body. GRRRR! This is probably the 10th pair of pants that had to be returned. Even wide-legged pants aren't cut for women who truly have wide legs. I did, however, keep a Sejour jacket that would match these slacks, but it also is made with "stretch", so I had to go a size up to keep it from being too constricting. I've given up hope of ever finding an actual suit.

Nordstrom has ruined the fit of their own brand pants. Caslon used to fit PERFECTLY. These pants do not fit me nor any of my friends who used to wear Caslon and Semantiks as our exclusive pant. I just keep mending my old Caslon and Semantiks, but am rapidly running out of options. I have had MANY conversations with women customers and sales people in Nordstroms all over the country who report the same problems with these pants. Waist is too high in the front creating a "bag" stomach, waist is too low in the back showing a little too much. they are tighter through the thigh than they used to be. Why did Nordstrom change when they rebranded to Sejour? The old fit was perfect for everyone I have ever talked to. We also really miss the higher end Halogen and Classiques in Encore.
