colours looks much brighter and more festive online; in reality, it's flat burgundy and colors of the fair isle are nowhere near as vibrant and do not pop against the dark burgundy as depicted in photo. It's true to UK sizing which is much smaller than US so I ordered two sizes and the UK10/US6 fit while the UK8/UK4 was too tight across the bodice. In US sizing I usually wear a 2 or 4. In the UK I wear an 8 or 10. The material itself is quite stiff and a bit itchy -- must wear long sleeve underneath -- but worst of all, there's a visible snag dead center from of the sweater, which was sent direct from manufacturer, so must returned and cannot reorder as it's no longer available in US6. Overall super disappointing, my first and last purchase of this brand

I saw this sweater online and again at Seasalt shop in Windsor, UK. It is a lovely color of red, like a cranberry red, not too bright and not too dark. I have received so many compliments. I was looking for a roomy sweater for holidays and season, to wear with jeans or skirt. I selected one size up from normal size, and it is roomy, warm sweater to layer underneath. It’s not a thick sweater but in wool that is typical wool and provides warmth. I don’t have issues with it being rough. I am sure it will soften a bit with wear and first hand wash. I love the sweater!! Seasalt has a beautiful way to create a palette for the season and coordinate accessories, coats, blouses, sweaters between. They are a reliable and popular brand in the UK. I am purchasing one of their rain squal jackets next. Happy to see Nordstrom is carrying Seasalt!
