Scottie Fig Print Cotton Blend Midi Dress

This dress needed some altering for me. The straps had an elastic band in them to give the pleated, ruffle look but the elastic was actually quickly losing its elasticity and not being able to wear a bra whose straps would not show, I had no support from the saggy straps. My seamstress removed the elastic from inside the strap, shortened the straps so not pleated, and now it looks and fits beautifully. She also moved the belt loops so it would sit on my waist which was far more flattering on me. The zipper is a little hard to pull up past the area where the fabric changes to the elastic and my seamstress said it was because they sewed too closely to it but I did not want to spend the money for her to take that apart and resew. With my changes, it fits beautifully.
