Buffalo Check Flannel Long Sleeve Button-Up Shirt

This is a mixed review. The shirt is amazing and so soft but it wasn’t wrapped in plastic and smelled like REALLY strong cologne. I contacted Nordstrom customer service chat and asked if I could exchange it for the exact same item and size since it appeared to be a returned or worn item. They were all out of my size though. And they did confirm that the item was sent to me from one of their stores and not from their warehouse which sort made it obvious to me based on the odor that the item had been worn. I asked if I could at least get some sort of discount or price adjustment because of the strong cologne smell and they said no because that would not be consistent or fair to other customers. Well that doesn't make sense because all other customers do not receive items that are worn or smell of strong cologne. They did give me the option to return it but I decided to keep it because it fit so well. I had to wash it twice though to get rid of the cologne smell because the first wash didn’t help. You shouldn’t have to do that with a brand new item. So my review is a 4.5 for the shirt itself but a 1 for Nordstrom sending me a worn item and not trying to offer anything to make up for it. Probably my first negative Nordstrom experience in many years of shopping here.
