What it is: A weekly scalp scrub that will help reduce dry scalp flaking after one use.

Who it's for: Ideal for all hair types and textures.

What it does: Binchotan charcoal and plant-based exfoliators draw out and lift away buildup, impurities, dead skin and excess oil that may clog scalp and hair follicles. This shampoo supports absorption of key vitamins and minerals for long-term hair health, and it balances scalp hydration for those with either oily or dry scalp. Peppermint, spearmint, tea tree and coconut oils soothe and refresh. The shampoo is formulated with 95% naturally derived ingredients and the brand's proprietary NOVA Complex that purifies, nourishes and refreshes.

Key ingredients:
- Binchotan charcoal: detoxifies the scalp and draws out impurities that clog the hair follicle or that cause buildup on the scalp

My favorite shampoo!

Loving this! It helps clear dandruff very effectively! In just a couple of uses I can feel the difference in my scalp, especially when combing through my hair there is much less scaling. Oddly to me this smells like mint chocolate. I was very surprised as I really didn't expect something with charcoal and tea tree in it to smell so good! It is a grey color - due to the charcoal, but it lathers into a white foam. I use it on wet hair and massage it into my scalp for a couple of minutes, rinse and then repeat but the second time around I let it sit whilst I carry on with the rest of my shower routine for a few minutes. I then rinse this out. Now a word of caution: this will make your scalp feel like it's having an out-of-body-experience!! Especially the first few times you use it and if you apply as vigorously as I did the first time. It's all the stimulating essential oils in there. Depending upon how sensitive your scalp is or isn't, you may or may not experience this. For reference I don't tend to use a conditioner afterwards when using Scalp Revival as I let my scalp 'breathe' and the product to take full effect. Once my hair has dried I use the Charcoal + tea tree scalp treatment. This is nair

This is the worst hair product I have ever bought. I have thin/fine hair and This shampoo made me lose so much hair I couldn’t even believe it was possible. So much of my hair came out in the shower while using this product. My spouse tried it too and had the same unfortunate hair loss.

Does what it claims

I’ve been struggling with a flaky scalp ever since my second pregnancy. Putting oils on it just made my hair greasy but the scalp revival shampoo and conditioner don’t weigh my hair down and keep the flakes away. I also use the dry shampoo in the same line and am back to going 3 days between washes. I love that this isn’t too expensive and has clean ingredients. Well worth it IMO!

Cured oily scalp

I have used a range of products from a simple apple cider vinegar rinse to RX shampoo to calm my scalp. My hair would appear oily 2-4 hours after washing. I am 50ish hispanic female, have medium to long hair, oily skin, premenopausal, and wear a CPAP at night. All make for perfect storm for my scalp to be irritated, oily, and flaky. While using an ACV rinse 1-2 x week is the least expensive option and works pretty well, I could not believe how calm my scalp and how soft my hair felt after using Briogeo. It does take a little work. I wet my hair thoroughly, clip my hair in sections and rub product directly to my scalp. I then add conditioner to the ends of my hair and clip it all up while I finish my shower. I add more water at the end of my shower, rub it in again and rinse. I use very little product and it last quite a while but I hate the tub concept or would have preferred they included a small scoop, that is the reason for taking off one star. The smell reminds me of chocolate chip mint ice cream but the scent is very light. I use this with the scalp treatment drops. Even at the price, I will continue buying, it has made such a wonderful difference in my scalp and hair.

effective

This is the first time I’ve exfoliated my scalp. This shampoo does a great job with itching and cleanses well but I experienced a lot of strands of hair falling out the first few times I used this. Briogeo told me this was expected as my hair had to get used to exfoliation and this decreases over time. They were right but it can be alarming at first. FWIW some hair does tend to all out during exfoliation since they are already lose in the follicles (just like dead skin cells come off during skin exfoliation). I follow this with a conditioner and it’s a refreshing combination.

Hard to wash hair

This product does not lather. Hard to wash your hair with it. You have to use a lot just to get it all over your scalp. Nice smell but did not heal my itchy scalp.
