Really Cute and Versatile
I read the previous 1 star review after I purchased this dress and assumed once I received the dress I would try it on and it would be an immediate return. Nope.
The fabric of the dress is very light but I tried it on in a room with lots of natural light and couldn’t see my undergarments. I will wear this dress with nude undergarments but no slip is necessary in my experience.
The smocked “waist” does land halfway on your chest which seems wrong but actually looks cute in my opinion. It’s how it’s depicted on the model.
I ordered a small, and I’m 5’4” and around 140 lbs 20 weeks pregnant. This dress is plenty roomy without being big or shapeless. It absolutely does not look like a maternity dress but I noticed the dress is a little longer in the front, which doesn’t look weird, but will accommodate a larger bump. Right now my little bump is just hidden in it and I think it will also be very flattering postpartum for that reason.
Also, this dress isn’t too short on me, but it is a short dress and may be uncomfortably short on anyone taller than me.
