True to size if you're of average height, i.e. if you're a size large, average weight, and are less than 6 feet tall this will likely fit well. It was too short for my 6'3" 175lb son. Fit well everywhere else and he otherwise liked it, it's very nice looking. No idea about warmth since we're returning it. Disappointing that it's so short.
