Lexie Platform Espadrille Sandal (Women)

This is a great shoe except for a few features. It is well-padded and comfortable in the footbed area, but the heel area where the straps cross each other digs into the heel while I am walking. I know this will eventually soften up and feel more comfortable, so I lessen the pressure on my heel by moving my foot more forward. I am not thrilled with the triangular notches around the sides; I wish they were not there, but this is not a deal-breaker. The other thing I wish is that there was some type of padding between the inside of the buckle and your foot because this can dig especially since the inside of the buckle is not rounded. I went half size down from my regular shoe size.

This sandal is the best platform I’ve ever worn. The suede straps were immediately comfortable and don’t rub or require breaking in. The platform is actually quite stable and the look of the shoe is really attractive, plus they’re neutral and go with everything. Sure they’re a little heavier than a normal shoe given the platform, but I find them really easy to walk in. Only my big toe shows through the peeptoe but it’s a surprisingly attractive look. The perfect trifecta of comfort, style and versatility! Don’t hesitate on these!!

Stylish and fairly comfortable shoe, although I wish the front strap was placed slightly higher, further toward the ankle as it would provide a little more support, and it would show a little more toe. My big toe barely shows at the front of the shoe, for reference. At first that seemed strange, but the look quickly grew on me. After wearing these for a couple of hours, I realized they lacked the support (both for front of foot and arch) to wear for longer periods. Still they are cushioned and nearly flat, so they are more comfortable than most shoes, and I like the way they look on my foot. I purchased the tan color with the tortoise shell detail at the heel. The leather is soft and I believe it will get softer as I wear them. They run true to size and seem to be well made.
