Samoa 310 Wedge Sandal (Women)

I normally wear a 9.5, or a European 40 (occasionally 41). These felt a full size too big on my feet: too long and too wide in the foot bed and in the ankle/heel area. The leather is a nice quality, and the workmanship looks solid, but the leather straps are not reinforced in any way other than with the edgestitching, so I would expect the ankle strap in particular to stretch out a lot. I had to fasten the velcro as tight as it would go and it still felt a bit loose. I don't think I could walk in these. It's an interesting style, but size way, way down unless you have wide feet.

I sized down to 9.5M from my usual size 10M and both length and width feel great, but the ankle strap is way too long to properly secure around my ankles. I've had this issue before so the improper fit is likely due to my skinny ankles. I like the design and construction of the shoe and may try exchanging for a size 9M but think the length may be too short.
