Medium Monogram Matelassé Leather Shoulder Bag

Purchased this for someone important as a Christmas gift, Nordstrom's outstanding customer service allowed me to get the bag delivered to a near by store and had it personally giftwrapped, I cannot say enough good things about their support and service. The bag- it's chic, and beautiful. The quilted patterns is what attracted me to purchase this bag. She could wear this out for date night, nights out, formal, good for any occasion! I was torn between silver or gold, but given that everyone has the black on gold, the silver stood out to me, as it is more subtle and allows for versatility. Satisfied with my purchase.

This bag is stunning in person. The leather seems to have a slight shimmer to it, which is more due to texture than anything else. This will hide any scratches or imperfections. Three issues with this bag: The first - the back pocket is really tight. It’s difficult to get a phone in and out of. I have an iPhone 11 Pro with a slim case. I found it difficult to get my phone in and out of. I fear it will wear the leather over time. The second issue - the sides bow inward in a very structured manner that takes up valuable real estate inside the bag. The third - not a deal breaker, yet annoying, the bag does not sit up very well on its own. It falls over very easily. I ended up returning this bag. While beautiful, it just didn’t fit what I’m looking for at this time. If the sides did not bow inward, I would have kept the bag.
