Rose Prick Eyeshadow Quad

I’ll admit I have some amount of brand loyalty to Tom Ford. However, I don’t love all the eyeshadows. This version, the creme formula, I do love. Not sure what to expect from the pictures on line plus the name, Forbidden Pink, I went ahead and took a chance having bought the creme formula in other colours and loved them. I don’t regret this. The four shades don’t appear pink when first glanced. To me, they look like variations on brown. There are two matte/satins, a kind of shimmery orangey brown, and a delightful topper that comes off as platinumy gold with all the glistening you need to glam up your look. Back to the pink part - these shades all have a pink undertone. If you have these tones in your skin my guess is that, like me, you will see the pink in the brown if that makes sense. They definitely read pink on my eyes. Never overdone they impart a polished and elegant look. Like the other creme formula they apply like a dream. Blending is a cinch. The darkest shade serves as an outer v intensifier and/or a liner for both lash lines. The white gold topper shade is truly breathtaking. It adds a liquid like effect mid upper lid or if you’re feeling it, all over whichever shade you lay on the lid first. Not a necessity but clearly a leap into luxury.
