Nell Slip-On Sneaker (Women)

I’m like the Princess and the Pea when it come to shoes. I have high arches and high insteps and if they don’t feel great in the store, I just don’t buy them. I tried on at least 20 similar shoes from multiple manufacturers and kept coming back to these. These are extremely comfortable, great fit, and the leather is incredibly soft and forgiving. Nothing rubs, pinches, or hurts. My foot is a little wide and these have enough give to accommodate that, too. Really expensive for sneakers but I’d rather buy less and buy better.

Luxe statement loafers with a beautiful fit and finish. A dreamy tweed topper is intertwined with dazzling shimmer elements. Gold piping wraps around the sole and amps up the glam factor. These treaded non-slip loafers incorporate an elastic heel backing for a snug fit. A back pull-on tab is useful and well integrated into the design. Walked in these for 2 hours with socks without any foot fatigue. I did size up a 1/2 size and they fit perfect. These beauties look like $400 shoes and would buy these again!

I purchased the snake leather in pewter. I really wanted to love these shoes, but they didn’t hold up as good walking shoes for even a day at the office. I wore them for a full 10hr work day, including walking 5 minutes each way to/from parking garage to my office and a midday 15 slow walk with my elderly dog. I walked around the office building and climbed a couple of flights of stairs a a few times in a day. I mostly sit at a desk or in meetings during all other hours of the day. Unfortunately, my feet were in pain 6 hrs into the day with the bottoms of my feet chaffing and starting to feel a slight burning sensation. The leather is beautiful, the style is very chic, but it does not live up to the title of being a “sneaker”. Since these are slip-one, I opted to not wear socks. They fit true to size at a 5.5, but absolutely no arch support. They are light in weight, but slip off the back of your heels if you walk too fast. These shoes were returned the next day. Two stars for style but points lost for overall comfort. They feel more like wearing no-arch-support flats than a sneaker.

Absolutely LOVE these slip-ons! The price tag is hefty, but compared to other black slip-on sneakers I tried, these fit like a glove, and they're both feminine and sporty. They go with EVERYTHING. I can throw them on with yoga pants or tights, and they also look great with a pair of jeans and a sweater. I think you could even pull them off with a casual dress. Love, love, love!
