Romy Leather Tote

This is my first Tory Burch; I am reminded why I held off from buying her bags. This tote in particular is lovely and the leather is incredibly soft. Once you put anything in it, it loses its shape and is difficult to get the cinch straps to lay properly. And unfortunately, the magnetic closure does not keep the bag closed unless you have next to nothing in the bag.

I stumbled upon this bag while shopping at my local Nordstroms. I was unfamiliar with the bag and asked the sales associate how the belting straps worked. They said they were not functional. As the sales price was good and I liked the bag I went ahead and bought it. When leaving the mall I stopped by the actual Tory Burch store to ask about the belting straps. I was again told they were not functional and were “just for show”. That made no sense to me. YouTube reviews to the rescue! The back belting straps when pulled apart at the same time cinches the bag as much or as little as you like! So you can get several uses out of this bag. A full blown wide open tote for laptop or travel needs or a smaller tote when you aren’t carrying a lot. Like two bags in one! Totally cool! The leather is great and I really like the suede-like lining. Gorgeous and functional bag! Btw, Tory Burch personnel really need to learn more about the bags they sell.

This bag has been used. There are also marks, dents, and spots not consistent with suede items that I own or would expect with a new purchase. I took pictures upon opening, darker ones are without a flash, my pictures are really misleading due to the lighting in my house. Color: this bag is darker than it appears online. I purchased “Carmel” color, I’d call it Tobacco for reference. It is well made and what you’d expect for Tory Burch, priced at $595: the largest version of the Romy, and I think it should have a small zip inner bag. It doesn’t have anything but a small inside zip pocket. This bag is great for work/travel, and would fit well on my carryon suitcase, but I’m returning because it’s used and the color and marks are not what I hoped in a new purchase.

This was a bad purchase. The purse looks great, but it is not practical for everyday use. Everything falls to the bottom. Inside there is one zipper pocket. There are no other pockets inside the purse. For the cost amount there should definitely be some storage inside. There isn't a pocket for lipstick, cell phone, or anything else. The zipper packet barely holds a drivers license and a credit card. I am sorry I purchased this.
