It’s great!

Had this as a sample and loved it so much I ordered some. My skin just loves this and looks great, yes it does smell of roses but it’s not over powering and the effects of the cream far out way this. My foundation goes on evenly after without any problem. My skin has definitely benefited from using this product.

Very light, loads of better more affordable alternatives

I have no idea why this costs so much. This is a very average gel-cream moisturiser. It is too light for my dry-dehydrated skin, so not the right product for me, but even so I could tell this was nothing special. At least it wasn’t really over-fragranced like other Rodial products. Erm...something nice to say....I like the airless pump packaging.

v nice

I have oily skin and gravitate towards gel-type products. This gel from Rodial worked very well for me – it absorbs very quickly, is light, has a nice smell and the skin looks and feels rather fresh, hydrated and “lifted” after its use (and the usual shine appears later in the day). Having said that, I think this product is a bit expensive compared to similar products on the market, but this is the only negative thing to say here, would recommend it

It’s just alright

I had the night version of this first and to be honest I don’t see much difference. The day cream came as part of set. It applies well and like other comments is non-greasy but I prefer other day creams out there. This is too expensive for what it is.

Perfect base

This cream is super light weight and non-greasy. It gives a perfect base for foundation, my make up blends so easily on top of this. My skin is on the drier side and I’m not sure this provides enough hydration for the whole day, I noticed some flaking towards the evening. The formula might be better for oilier skin.

Light and the scent is beautiful

I received a 9ml deluxe size of this in a Beauty Bag. It has a light texture, slightly rosy colour and a subtle rose scent which I don't mind. I use it right before my SPF in my AM routing and it performs well under make up and doesn't pill, skin feels soft and lightly hydrated.

Beware of chemical exfoliants in this moisturizer

This is a lightweight gel like moisturizer. It leaves the skin hydrated and with a uniform tone and texture. The problem for me is that at the top of the ingredients list are three chemical exfoliants: glycolic acid, salicylic acid and lactic acid. Kudos to Rodial for getting such an elegant texture containing these 3 ingredients but users should be aware of them and be really diligent with their SPF after putting this on. Personally, this is not how I like to do my chemical exfoliation (which is in my evening routine with a dedicated product).

Nice, but not amazing

The pros first - it’s a lovely consistency, it smells great and I love the colour. It’s well absorbed, not sticky at all and is a really good base for make up. The cons - it’s an ok moisturiser, but my skin needs significantly more, which meant I used a lot of it, or topped it up with something else. I don’t have particularly dry skin either. That said, I would use it again, but over moisturiser as a primer.
