Michelle Cover-Up Tunic

This could have been the perfect coverup, but one unforgivable design flaw sent it back. The weight of the material is perfect; the material is unbelievably soft (some gauzy garments can be so scratchy); it is light and breathable; it is sheer, but not so sheer that you feel like you're in lingerie (think lace and chiffon coverups); the length hit just right - long enough to have material to sit on, but well above the knee. The problem is the cord around the neck. It's very cute, but not practical at all. When you take the coverup off, the cord gets caught on your ears, on your earrings, on the top of your head, etc. If you try to take it off quickly, it's half on, half off and you are trying to untangle yourself. Taking off or putting it on, you have to be very methodical to separate and hold the cord at various points around the neckline, or your head will go between the cord and the neck. It doesn't show here, but there is only one additional anchor point for the cord, and it's located right behind the neck. This leaves a large area of unanchored cord between the front anchor that you can see just below the shoulder and the back of the neck. When you're pulling the coverup over your head, the cord goes slack and a large space between the cord and the fabric is created; your ears get caught on the cord and your head goes right between the cord and the coverup. I took it on and off several times, because I thought I'd be able to work out a method for doing it with ease, but that didn't happen. I want to be able to take off a coverup easily and gracefully without having to worry about getting tangled in it. If they had put more anchors for the cord or concealed the cord within the neckline of the fabric, this would have been the perfect find. It runs true to size. I'm 5'3, 125 lbs, 32DD, and the small fit perfectly. If you don't plan to take it on and off frequently or in public, buy it! It's cute on, and other than the one design flaw, which was a deal breaker for me, it's perfect.

This was a really beautiful cover up. But like others have mentioned, the quality of the material was disappointing, especially given the price. When I opened up the package, I noticed a very visible tear along one of the side seams. Having paid full price, this just wasn’t acceptable. Sad to have to return...

Great cover-up. Can't have too many black covers and this is a good one. Love the low front to 'peek-a-boo' your suit. Like the shorter length and the flowing sleeves. The perfect combination of loose and sexy. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the fabric. It's a guazey fabric that I anticipate will be a chore to wash correctly.
