What it is: This multi-effect retinal night serum uses the power of retinaldehyde to smooth skin, improve the look of fine lines and brighten uneven skin tone.

Better than some of the pricier retinols!
I've been using (and loved - notice the past tense here!) Augustinus Bader's 'Retinol Serum' but YTTP's formulation blows it out of the water! The retinol itself is much stronger, to give you an example I can use AB's Retinol serum everyday, heavy handedly, but I cannot do the same with YTTP's. I had to build up my skins' tolerance to this one. There's no fragrance in this, you only need to use the tiniest amount, and the ingredients list is very impressive. I don't have the packaging to hand as I type, but I recall there's a specific Mushroom extract in this which I'm very sure is what's counteracting the typical retinol irritation - because my skin is responding much better than it usually does. A little redness but much less than usual. 5% Niacinamide for me, has to be the icing on the cake. I swear by this ingredient as much as I do Retinol, and both ingredients combined is a first as far as I'm aware. So what does my skin say? Truth be told the texture of my cheeks and forehead is so smooth on my 3rd week of this, it looks more even and my pores are smaller (not gone unfortunately, but noticeably more refined). Sorry AB, but this is now my new favorite Retinol: cost effective, better formulation and better results. As I've said before anyway, AB is a 'beginner's' Retinol, there's only so much it can do. Canary yellow and tacky
The YTTP Retinal and Niacinamide Youth Serum left my ultra-fair face remarkably yellow and the consistency was too thick and tacky to my liking. I could feel the product on my face for a while - and even if I couldn't anymore, my skin still was left yellow. Needless to say, I did not continue using this product for long but, as far as I am concerned, I think there are plenty of better retinol serum fish in the skincare sea.

Skin friendly retinol serum
I actually really love this serum, and the YTTP line in general. I have very sensitive skin and I’m 38 with fine lines and wrinkles and perimenopausal acne I’ve been fighting with. I started using this line of products due to the retinol and really have enjoyed it. This retinol has a good scent, doesn’t feel too burning, and does feel like it’s working with my skin looking and feeling more healthy.

Not very drying
I have been using it for the past week and it leaves the skin very smooth. Its not very drying. However winter is approaching and i dont know how it'll affect the skin then. But so far so good. I use it in the night followed by the moisturiser. Would recommend it to new retinol users

This brand is good, I have used thr vitamin c n moisturiser n wanted to try this retinol, at first it didn’t go well with my skin but after 2 nd use it worked ni must say it did help with my pores n skin uneven tone from sun spot. I will get this again.

This brand is the best
So I used to use RX level retinol but it used to dry me out so badly. I found this product randomly and started using it instead. It has not dried me out one bit!! I find that my complexion is more even and I'm more hydrated in the mornings as I use it every night. It is exactly what I needed in my night time routine

I've been enjoying this product and on my second bottle already. I'm doing skin cycling so at the moment I'm using retinal every third night. I let it sink in for about 10min before applying moisturizer. No irritation, faded my acne scars quite a bit and skin overall looks much more fresh and bright. Also, my skin type is combination and reactive.
Product itself is yellow and it will stain. If you're not someone who washes face in the morning and uses micellar water to cleanse, it will stain cleansing pads.
