Fragrance story: Co-created by master distillers and perfumers, the savoir-faire of two olfactory worlds is combined to create an intense scent for the strong, sophisticated gentleman. A heady duality of delicate floral notes and woody depths is expressed through the contrast of ethereal iris and amber woods. Whisky absolute, crafted in Grasse, France, uses barley from a historic district in Scotland, instilling this cologne with the purest and most timeless elegance.

Incredible Fragrance
I've always loved Givenchy but got away from the fragrances as of late. Well, I'm back and for a great reason. This scent gets me so many compliments and I love it.

Nice, but not quite my thing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love iris notes in fragrances, and the iris in Gentleman Givenchy Reserve Privee is lovely-soft, sophisticated. I can see the appeal of surrounding it with benzoin, cedar, and other rich warm notes, but the overall effect here is just a bit too sweet for my taste. The whiskey top note is also nice and it seems very well blended; sillage and longevity are as expected for an eau de parfum.

Not too different
When you think whisky you get weary cause it can be super distinct - but it's subtle enough to make a difference but not too overpowering. Takes some getting used to - but I love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Reserve Privee is an Amber Vanilla fragrance for men. Top note is Bergamot; middle notes are iris and Chestnut; base notes are Whiskey, Amber and Woodsy Notes. A beautiful, iridescent fragrance. It works as an all day wear in spring or on not too hot days, and as an everyday fragrance in autumn and winter. In hot weather, it will suffocate the surroundings. Very, very similar to Dior Homme Intense.

Givenchy Gentleman
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great scent for those who are looking for a cologne with a soft powdery not too masculine scent. It does last all day and if it had more of a prominent whisky aroma it would be a scent to add to my usual collection. Givenchy Gentleman is a good rotational weekday cologne.
